“It definitely felt different [using the Agenda tool]. As an actuary we think we know everything, but there’s lots of room for improvement. I was working as well as I could up to that point, but utilizing the tools made it better. Steve is a good thinker who balances off hard quantitative skills with soft skills. He was contracted to assess, test and find the competencies we needed for leadership positions. Steve helped crystallize and articulate leadership, and to develop a good team at Foresters. In fact, almost all of the senior team Steve helped to put in place between 1998-2002 are still in place in 2006, and they’re thriving. The building was done, Steve taught them to fish.
